Anthony M. Caccavale SEO Professional

About Anthony

Anthony Caccavale Headshot from 2019

I am an experienced SEO and web analytics professional.

Currently, I’m an SEO, who focuses primarily on technical, analytics implementations (KPIs, iframes, cross-domain tracking), and data hygiene.

I got into search engine optimization (SEO) completely by chance — and happy that it happened. After graduating from Virginia Tech, I had a few internships (the record label and radio station were fun). After moving to Washington, DC (technically, Arlington), I began an internship where I was trained and fell in love with SEO. Moving throughout my career at different agencies, I was able to garner a lot of experience seeing a multitude of SEO problems for me to solve.

When I’m not elbows-deep in SEO, you can find me watching horror movies (Re-Animator or Friday the 13th, anyone?), watching wrestling, going to metal/hardcore/punk shows, and/or playing softball.

Anthony’s SEO Experience

I have worked on a variety of clients performing SEO and analytics recommendations/implementations throughout my 10 year career. Truth be told, while I can tackle just about any SEO task, I love the technical SEO. Frankly, I love being able to find issues and seeing how the web (and Google) works in crawling and processing the web.

My career motto is: Give me a site with an issue, and you’ll find a happy SEO.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to work on the projects I’ve worked on — from a major retailer who, if they weren’t who they were, would definitely be de-indexed by abusing canonical tags, to a React site that wasn’t leveraging server-side rendering that wasn’t being picked up by search engines, to two ecommerce sites leveraging Oracle that had duplicate content on both sites.

From a non-technical side, I’ve continually been able to provide ROI-driven strategies, including driving +772,000 increase in organic traffic year-over-year . This was accomplished by performing continual technical reviews, providing relevant topical recommendations, and providing content recommendations to ensure topical relevancy and authority.

In addition to performing SEO strategies and implementation, at just about every job I’ve had, I’m the go-to analytics professional. This includes creating analytics recommendations, implementations, and, of course, leveraging the analytics to make actionable insights for my clients. For example, I’ve rolled out a complex solution to rectify duplicate and triplicate (seriously!) tracking for a residential property using iframes. I was able to clean up their data, implement conversion tracking, and implement consistent tracking as users navigate to and from the iframe.

My resume provides more detail on what kind of tasks I’ve worked on to help my clients, including, but not limited to:

  • Performing technical SEO audits, with actionable insights, to help my clients implement my recommendations
  • Crafting and running SEO campaigns (include on-page)
  • Providing internal linking recommendations to ensure our priority pages are linked to with relevant anchor text
  • Implementing Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
